Bidirectional Zener TVS for signal-line ESD clamping
The D5V0L2B3W-7: It packs two bidirectional channels into a single SOT-323 package, saving board space compared to two discrete unidirectional diodes.
Peak pulse power and capacitance tradeoff
Rated for 84W peak pulse power, the D5V0L2B3W-7 handles moderate transients typical of ESD events or inductive kickback on I/O lines, but it is not intended for power-line protection — the spec explicitly lists "Power Line Protection" as No. The 15pF typical capacitance at 1MHz keeps signal integrity intact on high-speed interfaces like USB 2.0, HDMI, or LVDS — a 50pF part would round off the edges and fail eye-diagram compliance.
Package and temperature range
Housed in the industry-standard SOT-323 (SC-70 footprint), this surface-mount package reflows easily with standard lead-free profiles and sits low on the board for tight enclosures. The operating junction temperature spans -65°C to 150°C, covering automotive under-hood and industrial ambient extremes without derating concerns.
