Ultra-low capacitance ESD clamp for high-speed I/O
The D5V0F2U3LP08-7B is a dual-channel unidirectional Zener TVS from Diodes Incorporated, purpose-built for protecting high-speed data lines where signal integrity cannot tolerate a heavy capacitive load. With a typical capacitance of 0.5 pF at 1 MHz, this part sits below the threshold where a protection diode would start to round off the edges on a USB 2.0, HDMI, or Gigabit Ethernet differential pair — the signal eye stays open.
X2-DFN0806-3 footprint and board integration
The centre pad is the common anode; the two outer pads are the independent cathode channels. The small footprint lets it sit directly at the connector or IC pin it protects, minimising the loop inductance that would otherwise reduce clamping effectiveness on a fast transient. The 1.5 A peak pulse current rating (8/20 µs waveform) covers the typical IEC 61000-4-2 level 4 contact discharge without the part failing short.
