1500W Zener TVS — what the ratings mean for your protection design
The 1.5KE39A-T: The 37.1V minimum breakdown voltage and 33.3V reverse standoff mean the diode starts conducting just above the normal rail voltage, so it stays out of the way during steady-state operation but reacts fast when a spike hits.

A cross-reference search against the 33.3V standoff and 1500W rating is the practical next step for a new design.
Through-hole axial — field-swappable without a hot-air station
The DO-201AA / DO-27 axial package is a through-hole part — leads poke through the board and get soldered on the opposite side. On a customer site, you can swap it with a standard soldering iron and solder sucker; no hot-air station or reflow profile needed. The body is clearly marked with the part number and polarity band, so orientation is obvious even under a magnifier. Tape & Reel packaging means it feeds into automated insertion machines for volume builds, but for field repairs the loose part in a kit works fine. The 1500W pulse rating is the headline number to match when selecting a drop-in replacement.
