1.5 kW peak pulse — the protection envelope
The 1.5KE250A-T: The reverse standoff voltage is 214 V, and breakdown occurs between 237 V and the clamp threshold — this three-voltage window defines where the part sits in a DC bus or AC line protection scheme. A single unidirectional Zener channel, so it handles one polarity of transient. For bidirectional clamping on AC lines, two devices back-to-back or a dedicated bidirectional TVS is needed.
Through-hole axial — DO-201AA footprint
Supplied in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, through-hole mount. The DO-201 body handles the 1.5 kW pulse without cracking the epoxy — the lead diameter and body length are standard for this power class. Tape-and-reel packaging suits automated insertion for volume builds. No power line protection feature — the part is a bare TVS diode, not a filtered suppressor.
