This is the protection window a designer budgets: the rail must tolerate the clamp voltage, and the transient source must deliver the 49 A without collapsing.

Quantities are lot-specific, date-code verified, and confirmed at RFQ. No pin-compatible replacement from the original manufacturer is documented — a board-level substitution would require requalifying the clamp voltage and package footprint against an alternative TVS.
DO-201 axial — thermal and board-fit note
Through-hole DO-201AA (DO-27) axial package. The 1500 W rating assumes the leads are soldered into a PCB with adequate copper area to sink the pulse heat — the junction temperature range spans -55°C to 175°C. In a rework or repair context, the axial body is hand-solderable; the tape-and-reel packaging indicates it was originally supplied for automated insertion. The unidirectional channel means it protects one polarity; a bidirectional device would be needed for AC-coupled lines.
