TVS diode for 15.3V rail clamping
The 1.5KE18A-T: It clamps transients on a 15.3V nominal rail to 25.2V maximum, handling up to 59.5A peak pulse current. The 17.1V minimum breakdown voltage ensures the device triggers before the downstream silicon sees overvoltage, while the 25.2V clamp holds the spike below the typical 30V abs-max of a 24V-rated IC.
Housed in a DO-201AA/DO-27 axial leaded package (DO-201 supplier device package), the 1.5KE18A-T mounts through-hole. The axial leads require a hole diameter of about 1.0 mm on the PCB; the body sits above the board, so the lead bend radius must clear adjacent components.
Lifecycle and procurement reality
Diodes Incorporated lists the 1.5KE18A-T as Obsolete. Sourced through independent distribution channels. Availability and pricing confirmed per RFQ — each lot is date-code and marking verified before shipping.
