Dual-port SRAM for shared-memory designs
The Infineon CY7C0832AV-167BBC is a 4.5 Mbit synchronous dual-port SRAM organized as 256K x 18 bits. It provides two independent ports with separate address, data, and control lines, allowing two bus masters — such as a DSP and an FPGA or two processors — to access the same memory array simultaneously without arbitration overhead. The 167 MHz clock rate supports high-throughput data buffering in telecom line cards, network switches, and multiprocessor systems where shared memory is the critical path.
Housed in a 144-ball FBGA (13x13 mm), the part is surface-mount only — no socket. Store the reels dry: FBGA packages are moisture-sensitive, and the bulk packaging (tray or tube) may not include a moisture barrier bag — verify before long-term storage.
