1.5 kW bidirectional TVS for general-purpose rail clamping
The 1.5SMC11CA TR13 PBFREE: It clamps transients at 15.6V maximum while conducting 96A peak pulse current, making it a fit for protecting 9.4V nominal rails in general-purpose DC circuits.
Voltage ratings and clamping behaviour
Reverse standoff voltage is 9.4V typical — the rail stays below this during normal operation. This gives a 6.2V window between the working rail and the clamp ceiling, enough headroom for 12V bus protection without nuisance triggering. The device operates across -65°C to 150°C junction temperature, covering the full industrial and automotive ambient range without derating concerns at the extremes. The DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package handles the 1500W pulse without exceeding the junction limit when the board copper is sized per the datasheet land pattern.
Package and reel format
The bidirectional single-channel configuration means one device clamps both polarities — no need for series pairing on a bipolar rail.
