Quad comparator in a 16-TSSOP — what it is and where it fits
The MAX9201EUE+ from Maxim Integrated packs four general-purpose comparators into a single 16-TSSOP package. Each comparator delivers TTL-compatible output, making it a direct fit for digital logic interfaces without needing an external pull-up or level translator. The 86.02 dB typical CMRR and PSRR keep the threshold stable even when the supply rail or common-mode voltage shifts — useful in mixed-signal boards where the analog front-end shares a rail with switching regulators.
Supply range and temperature grade — what they mean for the BOM
Runs off a single 4.75 V to 10.5 V supply, or a dual ±2.375 V to ±5.75 V rail. That covers the common 5 V and ±5 V analog supplies without a separate regulator. The -40°C to 85°C operating range qualifies it for industrial environments — motor drives, outdoor telecom, factory-floor sensors — where the ambient temperature swings beyond commercial limits. Input offset voltage maxes at 4 mV at ±5 V, and input bias current stays under 5 µA, so the comparator won't load down a high-impedance sensor output.
Package and mounting — board-fit note
Surface-mount 16-TSSOP with a 4.40 mm body width. Standard footprint, no exotic pad geometry.
