High-speed voltage feedback amp for signal-chain duty
The MAX4213ESA+ is a voltage feedback amplifier from Analog Devices, packing 300 MHz -3dB bandwidth and a 600V/µs slew rate into a single 8-SOIC package. That combination means it cleanly amplifies signals up to the low hundreds of megahertz without slewing into distortion — think ADC driver, video line driver, or high-speed photodiode front-end. The 5.5 mA supply current is moderate — not micropower, but reasonable for a 300 MHz part in a signal chain where speed matters more than battery life.
Package, temp range, and breadboard friendliness
Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (0.154" wide body), the MAX4213ESA+ uses a standard footprint that hand-solders easily with a fine tip or hot air. Input bias current is 5.4 µA typical, and input offset voltage is 4 mV — fine for AC-coupled or moderate-impedance signal paths. For a high-impedance sensor front-end you'd want a FET-input amp, but for 50-ohm video or 75-ohm cable driving, this bias level is well within budget.
