It is a General Purpose device — no integrated DC-DC converter — so you supply the isolated-side power separately. The part is unidirectional: three channels run from Side 1 to Side 2, one channel runs the opposite direction, which covers the typical SPI or UART isolation pattern without wasting a channel.
