Product details

8:1 multiplexer with 100 Ohm Ron and -92 dB crosstalk

The DG408EUE+ is an 8-channel single-ended multiplexer from Analog Devices, configured as 8:1 MUX or 1:8 DEMUX. It switches one of eight inputs to a common output, or routes one input to one of eight outputs, controlled by a 3-bit address line. On-state resistance is 100 Ohm max, with channel-to-channel matching of 1.5 Ohm — this keeps the insertion loss uniform across all channels in precision analog routing. Crosstalk is -92 dB at 100 kHz, meaning a signal on one channel couples into an adjacent channel at less than 0.0025% of its amplitude at that frequency. For a 16-bit ADC front-end, that is below the LSB noise floor.

Supply flexibility and switching performance

Single-supply operation spans 5 V to 30 V; dual supplies run from ±5 V to ±20 V. This lets the part handle bipolar analog signals up to ±20 V without external level shifting. Switching times are 150 ns max for both turn-on and turn-off — fast enough to support audio sample rates above 1 MHz or multiplexed data acquisition at moderate throughput. Charge injection is 2 pC typical. When the switch opens, that charge dumps into the load capacitance — for a 10 pF sampling cap on an ADC input, the resulting voltage glitch is roughly 200 mV, which settles within the switch's own 150 ns transition.

Industrial temperature range and leakage

Off-channel leakage current is 500 pA max — negligible for high-impedance sensor inputs where the source impedance is in the tens of kOhm range. Channel capacitance is 3 pF on the source side and 26 pF on the drain side — the larger drain capacitance limits the bandwidth when multiple channels are tied together at the output bus.

16-TSSOP package and board integration

The supplier device package is 16-TSSOP. Supplied in tube packaging.

It is RoHS3 compliant.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy DG408EUE+ and check availability?

The DG408EUE+ is sourced through independent distribution.

What is the crosstalk specification for DG408EUE+?

Crosstalk is -92 dB at 100 kHz. This means less than 0.0025% of a signal on one channel couples into an adjacent channel at that frequency, which is below the LSB of a 16-bit ADC.
