The 800 V peak reverse rating covers 240 VAC mains with margin — a universal-input offline supply rectifying 85–265 VAC sees peak voltages around 375 V, so this part stays well inside its blocking capability. At 1 A average rectified output, the forward drop is 1.1 V max at 1 A — that is 1.1 W conduction loss at full load, which the DFS package dissipates through the board copper without needing a heatsink in most designs.
