Input range and output current — the fit check
The input voltage range spans 3V to 17V, covering 5V and 12V rails common in industrial and consumer supplies. The 3A continuous output is delivered by the integrated synchronous rectifier, which keeps efficiency up and the external Schottky diode off the BOM. Output is adjustable from a 0.9V reference up to 6V, set by a resistor divider. The 2.5 MHz switching frequency lets the designer use a 1 µH inductor and small ceramic caps, shrinking the total solution footprint.
