5V supply — not a 3.3V part
The supply range is 4.75V to 5.25V, so this transceiver expects a clean 5V rail. It will not operate correctly at 3.3V logic levels. If your design runs on 3.3V, you need a different RS-485 part — the SN75176BP is not that chip. The 50 mV hysteresis on the receiver input helps keep the bus from chattering on long or noisy cables, a common complaint in factory-floor retrofits.
No NRND or LTB flags. That is good news for a BOM line you want to keep stable.
