The LM35CH is an analog local temperature sensor from Texas Instruments that outputs 10 mV per °C — no external scaling or linearization needed. A reading of 250 mV means 25 °C, directly readable by any microcontroller ADC. It covers -40 °C to 110 °C with a typical accuracy of ±0.4 °C at 25 °C, and ±0.8 °C across the full range. That's tight enough for most environmental monitoring, thermal protection, and compensation loops without calibration. The supply voltage spans 4 V to 30 V, so it works on a 5 V logic rail, a 9 V battery, or a 24 V industrial supply — no extra regulator required.
Package and mounting — through-hole metal can
Housed in a TO-206AB / TO-46-3 metal can (through-hole), the LM35CH is a rugged choice for environments where plastic SOT-23 packages might crack or degrade. The hermetic seal resists moisture ingress, making it suitable for condensation-prone or high-humidity enclosures.
