47 µH, 320 mA, 670 mOhm — the parametric fit
The LBC3225T470KRV is a wirewound inductor with 47 µH inductance at 100 kHz test frequency, ±10% tolerance. Its 320 mA current rating and 670 mOhm DC resistance define the conduction loss and thermal rise in a power rail filter or DC-DC converter output stage. Unshielded construction means the magnetic field extends beyond the component body — adjacent traces and components need clearance to avoid coupling. The 10 MHz self-resonant frequency marks the upper bound where the inductor behaves capacitively; stay well below it for inductive filtering.
AEC-Q200 and the 1210 footprint
AEC-Q200 qualification means this inductor has passed automotive-grade stress tests: vibration, thermal shock, solder heat resistance, and 1000-hour life at rated temperature. It suits under-hood or cabin electronics where reliability traceability is required. Surface-mount, tape-and-reel packaging — the standard footprint for automated assembly lines. Operating range is -40°C to 105°C, covering most automotive and industrial ambient conditions.
The part is still available for existing production but is not intended for new board spins. If you are qualifying a new design, plan for a replacement inductor with the same 47 µH, 320 mA, 1210 footprint.
