100 µH unshielded wirewound for filtering and decoupling
The Taiyo Yuden LBC2518T101M is a ferrite-core drum wirewound inductor in the LB, C Type series, rated 100 µH ±20% with a 125 mA current rating. The 3.7 Ω DCR at 125 mA means conduction loss is roughly 58 mW at full rated current — a factor in self-heating and efficiency for power-supply filtering or DC bias circuits. Self-resonant frequency is 9 MHz, so the effective inductance range sits below that; the part is tested at 796 kHz.
1007 footprint and unshielded construction
Surface-mount 1007 (2518 Metric) package, 2.50 mm × 1.80 mm footprint with a 2.00 mm seated height — fits tight board layouts where height is constrained. Unshielded construction means the magnetic field couples into nearby traces or components; keep sensitive signal paths at least a few mm away from the inductor body. Operating temperature range is -25°C to 105°C — suitable for consumer, industrial, and some automotive interior environments, but not for under-hood or high-temp sensor nodes.
