10 µH wirewound for DC-DC filtering and bias-T circuits
The Taiyo Yuden LBC2518T100K is a 10 µH wirewound inductor in the LB, C Type series, rated for 375 mA DC with a DCR of 360 mOhm. The wirewound construction delivers higher Q and saturation current than a multilayer ferrite bead of the same footprint, making it a fit for output filters in buck converters or as a DC feed choke in bias-T networks where the DC bias current stays under 375 mA. The unshielded core means the magnetic field extends beyond the package — keep a clearance of at least one part width from sensitive analog traces or adjacent inductors to avoid coupling.
The footprint matches the standard 2518 land pattern; the 2.00 mm height keeps it below most low-profile shielding cans. The self-resonant frequency is 30 MHz — above this point the impedance becomes capacitive. For a 10 µH inductor, 30 MHz SRF is typical and means the part is usable as an inductor up to roughly 10 MHz before parasitic capacitance dominates.
Sourcing and lifecycle posture
The ±10% tolerance is standard for power-grade inductors and matches the typical requirement for DC-DC converter output filter inductors.
