Rail-to-rail steering diode for USB 2.0 signal lines
The STMicroelectronics USBLC6-2SC6 is a steering (rail-to-rail) TVS diode array in the USB series, designed to protect two high-speed data lines — typically USB 2.0 D+ and D− — from ESD and surge events. It integrates two unidirectional channels that steer the transient current to the supply rail or ground, keeping the clamp voltage below the downstream IC's absolute maximum. With a reverse standoff voltage of 5.25 V and a maximum clamping voltage of 17 V at a peak pulse current of 5 A (8/20 µs waveform), it covers the common USB 2.0 VBUS and signal-line protection window. The low clamping ratio means the protected IC sees less stress during a strike.
