3-axis MEMS accelerometer with selectable full-scale and dual digital interface
The STMicroelectronics LIS3DHTR is a 3-axis digital accelerometer that measures acceleration on X, Y, and Z axes with user-selectable full-scale ranges of ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, or ±16g. Data is read over either an I²C or SPI digital interface, giving layout flexibility for different bus topologies and host MCU pin availability.
Bandwidth, sensitivity, and temperature range for real-world sensing
Output data rate and bandwidth are programmable from 0.5 Hz up to 625 Hz, covering applications from slow tilt/orientation sensing up to moderate vibration monitoring. Sensitivity scales with the selected range: 1000 LSB/g at ±2g, dropping to 83 LSB/g at ±16g — the lower sensitivity at higher range trades resolution for shock survivability. On-chip features include an adjustable bandwidth filter, selectable scale, and an integrated temperature sensor, reducing the external component count for the signal chain.
16-LGA 3x3 mm package and surface-mount integration
Housed in a 16-lead LGA package measuring 3x3 mm (supplier device package 16-LGA), the LIS3DHTR fits space-constrained PCBs in wearables, IoT nodes, and portable instruments.
