P-channel 30V 14A MOSFET in 8-SOP — load-switch and high-side selection
The UPA2736GR-E1-AX: P-Channel MOSFET with 30V drain-to-source voltage and 14A continuous drain current. The 7mOhm maximum on-resistance at 14A with a 10V gate drive is the key figure for conduction loss.
The 7mOhm Rds(on) is specified at Id=14A and Vgs=10V. At lower gate voltages, the drive voltage range is 4.5V to 10V, so a 5V logic-level gate drive will work but the on-resistance will be higher than the 7mOhm figure. If the design runs the gate from a 3.3V GPIO, expect the Rds(on) to climb above the datasheet maximum — plan for a gate-driver buffer or a level-shift stage. The 80nC gate charge at 10V means the gate driver must source and sink that charge per switching cycle.
8-SOP package and thermal handling
The 2.5W power dissipation at ambient temperature (Ta) is the limit with the device soldered to a standard FR-4 board.
