Core and memory budget for single-chip control
The R5F571MLHDFC#30: The RXv2 core runs at 240 MHz — this is the instruction-cycle ceiling for the real-time control loop. A 10 kHz current-control ISR with 200 instructions leaves 83% CPU headroom for the stack and communications. 4 MB of on-chip flash with 512 KB SRAM and 64 KB dedicated EEPROM means a motor-drive firmware image with fieldbus stacks, safety diagnostics, and data-logging fits without external memory. The EEPROM block handles parameter storage without wear-leveling at the application layer.
Peripheral set for industrial connectivity
Ethernet MAC, CAN 2.0B, USB OTG, QSPI, and a parallel EBI/EMI interface are all on-die — no external bridge chip needed for EtherCAT slave, CANopen, or a TFT display controller. The 127 GPIOs leave room for encoder inputs and relay drivers. The ADC bank has 29 channels (8+21) with 12-bit resolution and two 12-bit DAC outputs — enough for three-phase current sensing plus a voltage reference and an analog setpoint.
Package and board integration
The 2.7 to 3.6 V supply rail is single-supply; no separate I/O or analog rail needed.
