R5F5110HADNF#20 carries an Active product status from Renesas. ROHS3 compliant — no exemption-based paperwork to chase for EU-bound assemblies.
32 MHz RX core — sensor-loop ceiling
The RX110 core runs at 32 MHz — that sets the maximum sensor-polling or control-loop rate. For a 10 kHz sensor read with 32 cycles of processing per read, the margin is tight; budget the loop time before committing firmware. 8 KB of on-chip flash with 8K x 8 RAM means the application code must be compact — think sensor calibration, simple PID loops, or I²C/SPI bridge tasks. No room for a full RTOS footprint.
40-HWQFN package — board layout notes
40-WFQFN with exposed pad, supplier package 40-HWQFN 6x6 mm. Fine for outdoor sensor nodes, HVAC controllers, and automotive cabin-adjacent modules. Not rated for under-hood or engine-bay environments.
Peripheral set — what hooks up without glue
Built-in DMA, LVD, POR, PWM, and WDT — the LVD and POR eliminate external supervisor ICs for many designs. The PWM channels can drive small loads directly or feed a gate driver. Serial interfaces: I²C, SCI, and SPI. The 10-channel 12-bit ADC covers multi-sensor analog inputs without an external mux.
