32 Mbit SPI NOR flash in 8-SOIC
The AT45DB321E-SHF-T is a 32 Mbit SPI serial flash from Renesas' DataFlash family, organized as 528 bytes per page across 8192 pages.
Page write and read timing
Page program time is 4 ms typical for a full 528-byte page, with a byte/word write cycle of 8 µs. The 85 MHz SPI clock gives a sustained read throughput of roughly 10 MB/s in quad-I/O mode — enough for code shadowing or data logging in an embedded system. The memory array is organized as 528-byte pages rather than the more common 256-byte or 512-byte pages found in many SPI NOR parts. This means a firmware-update routine written for a 512-byte page device needs a buffer-size adjustment to avoid partial-page writes.
Temperature grade and supply range
The SPI interface uses standard mode-0 and mode-3 polarity, and the part supports the standard Read Array (0x0B) and Fast Read (0x0C) commands common across the DataFlash family.
