Active production — 1.2 GHz fanout buffer for high-speed clock trees
The Renesas 8P34S1208NBGI8 is an active-production fanout buffer and multiplexer that takes two CML or LVDS input clock sources and distributes them to eight LVDS outputs at up to 1.2 GHz. With a 2:8 input-to-output ratio and full differential signalling on both sides, it fits into high-speed clock trees where signal integrity matters more than fanout count — think FPGA reference clocks, SERDES framing, or data-converter sampling clocks.
The core runs on a tight 1.71 V to 1.89 V supply rail, so the board designer needs a clean 1.8 V plane with local decoupling right at the 28-VFQFPN (5x5 mm) package pins.
Renesas lists the 8P34S1208NBGI8 as an active part. ROHS3 compliant.
