The 74FCT244CTQG from Renesas is a non-inverting buffer with 3-state outputs, organized as two elements of 4 bits each — a classic 8-bit bus driver or line receiver for 5V logic systems.
Output drive and temperature grade
The buffer sinks 15 mA and sources 64 mA per output — the asymmetric drive is typical for driving capacitive loads on a bus, where the high source current charges trace capacitance quickly while the lower sink current limits ground bounce.
Package options and board-fit note
Supplied in a 20-SSOP (3.90mm body width) and also available as a 20-QSOP — the QSOP variant has a finer lead pitch (0.635 mm vs 0.65 mm) and a shorter body length, which matters when the PCB footprint is already laid out for one or the other.
