Buffer, inverting, with 3-state control
The 74FCT240ATPYG is a dual 4-bit inverting buffer from the 74FCT family, with 3-state outputs that let you disconnect the bus when the output-enable pin is deasserted. It runs on a 4.75V to 5.25V supply and delivers 15mA sink or 64mA source per output — enough to drive a lightly loaded backplane or a bank of LED indicators without external buffers.
Housed in a 20-SSOP (0.209-inch body width, 5.30 mm), the part is surface-mount and fits the standard SSOP-20 footprint.
No pin-compatible second source is documented in the family, so the BOM line is single-sourced from Renesas.
