16-bit bus transceiver for mixed-voltage backplanes
The 74ALVC162245PAG is a 16-bit non-inverting transceiver organised as two 8-bit elements, each with its own output-enable and direction control. The 3-state outputs let multiple devices share a common data bus without contention. Output drive is rated 12 mA source/sink per channel in the standard drive mode and 24 mA in the high-drive mode — the higher figure suits heavily loaded backplanes where the capacitive fan-out would otherwise slow the edge rate.
