4Mbit asynchronous SRAM for 3.3V cache and buffer applications
The Renesas 71V416L15YG is a 4Mbit asynchronous SRAM organized as 256K x 16 bits, accessed in parallel with a 15 ns access time. It operates from a single 3V to 3.6V supply, making it a direct fit for 3.3V logic rails common in embedded controllers, DSPs, and legacy bus architectures. The 44-SOJ surface-mount package (0.400" body width) is a mature footprint still used in telecom line cards, industrial controllers, and test equipment where moderate-density, fast SRAM is needed for scratchpad or look-up tables.
15 ns access — what it buys on the bus
15 ns access time from address assertion. Write cycle time matches at 15 ns.
Supply rail and temperature grade — fit check
3V–3.6V supply range ties this part to a regulated 3.3V rail. Commercial temperature grade (0°C to 70°C) limits the part to indoor environments.
Package and handling — SOJ considerations
44-SOJ surface-mount package with J-shaped leads. 0.400" (10.16 mm) body width is standard for 44-pin SOJ.
Lifecycle and sourcing reality
ROHS3 compliant. Renesas continues to support this density and speed grade for legacy and new designs.
