LCD controller and analog integration
A key differentiator in the KL3 family is the integrated LCD controller — this part drives segmented LCD glass directly, eliminating a separate display driver IC from the BOM. The 20-channel 16-bit ADC and single 12-bit DAC handle analog sensor inputs and reference outputs without external converters. FlexIO, I²C, SPI, and UART/USART cover sensor bus and serial display interfaces. DMA offloads data movement from the core for low-latency peripheral transfers.
