120 MHz Cortex-M4F with DSP and FPU
The NXP MK22FX512VLQ12 is an ARM Cortex-M4F microcontroller running at 120 MHz with a single-precision floating-point unit and DSP instructions. It carries 512 KB of Flash and 64 KB of RAM — enough for a moderate control loop plus a USB or CAN communication stack without external memory.
Industrial temperature and analog integration
The on-chip analog subsystem includes a 42-channel 16-bit ADC and two 12-bit DACs.

For new designs, NXP's Kinetis K2x family includes pin-compatible successors with higher Flash and RAM densities; qualify the alternate before committing the BOM.
DMA, I²S, LVD, POR, PWM, and WDT round out the on-chip peripherals — no external watchdog or level-shifter needed for most mixed-voltage designs. Internal oscillator keeps the BOM count low; an external crystal can be added for tighter USB timing.
