Dual-core architecture for mixed control and signal processing
The NXP LPC43S67JET100E pairs a 204 MHz ARM Cortex-M4 with a Cortex-M0 in a single 100-TFBGA package. The M4 handles the DSP and floating-point workload — motor control loops, audio processing, or sensor fusion — while the M0 offloads housekeeping like protocol framing, GPIO scanning, or watchdog supervision. That split keeps deterministic timing on the real-time tasks without starving the application thread. Program memory is 1 MB of on-chip Flash, backed by 154K x 8 of SRAM and a separate 16K x 8 EEPROM block. Supply range is 2.4 V to 3.6 V.
Connectivity set for industrial networking and gateway roles
Ethernet, dual CAN, and USB OTG are all on-die — no external PHY for the Ethernet MAC (MII/RMII interface), and the USB OTG supports host or device mode. That makes the LPC43S67 a natural fit for a protocol bridge between a CAN-based machine bus and an Ethernet SCADA network, or as the application processor in a remote I/O gateway. The EBI/EMI interface also allows glueless connection to external SRAM, NOR Flash, or an FPGA over a parallel bus.
