The NXP LPC2378FBD144K is an ARM7-based microcontroller from the LPC2300 series, clocked at 72 MHz with 512 KB of Flash program memory and 58K x 8 of RAM.

The 72 MHz ARM7 core runs a lightweight TCP/IP stack alongside a CANopen protocol stack and a USB device class driver. The 58K x 8 RAM holds Ethernet frame buffers and a CAN message queue.
On-chip data converters and peripherals
The device includes an 8-channel 10-bit SAR ADC and a single 10-bit DAC — adequate for reading analog sensors (temperature, pressure, potentiometer feedback) and generating a control voltage or analog output signal. The peripheral set also includes a brown-out detect/reset, DMA controller, I²S audio interface, PWM, and watchdog timer. The oscillator can be driven from an external crystal or an internal RC oscillator, though the internal oscillator is not precise enough for USB or Ethernet without an external clock source.
