NRND — plan a replacement for production BOMs
NRND lifecycle status. NXP is phasing out the part; new designs should not start with it.
72 MHz — enough for protocol bridging without an external processor
The 72 MHz ARM7 core, paired with 512 KB Flash and 58K x 8 RAM, provides enough headroom to run a lightweight TCP/IP stack alongside a CANopen or Modbus application. The integrated Ethernet MAC and dual CAN controllers eliminate the need for a separate communication co-processor in many industrial gateway designs. The 10-bit ADC (6 channels) and single 10-bit DAC cover basic analog sensing and output without an external converter.
