180 MHz Cortex-M3 with full peripheral set
The NXP LPC1833JET100E is a 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3 microcontroller running at 180 MHz, with 512 KB of Flash program memory, 136 KB of SRAM, and 16 KB of EEPROM on-chip. It is part of the LPC18xx series and comes in a 100-ball TFBGA package (9x9 mm). The 49 general-purpose I/O lines, combined with DMA and a brown-out detect/watchdog, cover the typical control and communication needs of a mid-complexity embedded system.
Memory sizing and BOM fit
The 136 KB RAM supports multi-packet Ethernet buffering and a few hundred kilobytes of working data. The 16 KB EEPROM provides non-volatile parameter storage without external serial EEPROM, saving a BOM line and board area.
The 100-TFBGA (9x9 mm) package uses a fine-pitch BGA layout. PCB land pattern and solder mask must match the supplier's recommended footprint. X-ray inspection after reflow is advised to verify ball wetting, especially on the inner rows.
