Memory and I/O — the BOM-fit reality
8 KB Flash is tight. You are not running a full RTOS with a TCP/IP stack here — this is a bare-metal or small-scheduler part. The 4 KB RAM handles a few dozen variables and a modest UART buffer. 28 I/O lines in a 32-pin HVQFN give you enough for a parallel LCD nibble bus, a few button inputs, and an LED matrix, but plan the pin budget before layout. The 8-channel 10-bit ADC is adequate for reading potentiometers or analog sensor outputs at low speed.
Package and mounting — field-service note
Requires a hot-air station for rework; not socket-friendly. Exposed pad needs thermal vias under the part.
Connectivity covers I²C, SPI (Microwire/SSI compatible), and UART/USART. No CAN or USB, so this is for serial-bus slave nodes or point-to-point links, not a networked fieldbus gateway.
