50 MHz Cortex-M0 — throughput for CAN and UART loops
The LPC11C12FBD48/301,: The 50 MHz core clock on the Cortex-M0 gives about 50 MIPS of throughput. For a CAN node running a basic CANopen stack, that leaves headroom for the application code — polling the 10-bit ADC, updating a display, or handling UART commands. The 8 KB RAM is the tighter resource; a full CANopen object dictionary with 16 KB Flash will need careful partitioning, but the integrated CAN transceiver means no SPI-to-CAN bridge overhead.
