Parametric profile and what it means for your circuit
The Murata LQH31MN101K03L is a 100 µH drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH31 series, housed in a standard 1206 (3216 Metric) surface-mount package. Rated for 45 mA DC current with a maximum DC resistance of 15.6 Ohm — at full rated current the I²R loss is about 31.6 mW, which is within the self-heating budget for this ferrite-core part in still air. The self-resonant frequency of 7 MHz sets the upper bound for inductive behaviour; above this frequency the part becomes capacitive, so it is best suited for filtering and decoupling in circuits operating below a few MHz. Unshielded construction means the magnetic field radiates — adjacent traces carrying sensitive analog signals should be spaced at least one package width away to avoid coupling.
The ferrite core material maintains stable inductance across this range, though the DCR will increase with temperature at roughly 0.4%/°C — at 85°C the winding resistance is about 19.5 Ohm, raising the I²R loss to roughly 39 mW at 45 mA.
