4.7 µH shielded wirewound for automotive power rails
The Murata LQH2MPZ4R7MGRL is a 4.7 µH shielded wirewound inductor from the LQH2 series, qualified to AEC-Q200 for automotive applications. Its 580 mA continuous current rating and 870 mA saturation current (Isat) define the usable load range — the DC bias current must stay below Isat to avoid a sharp inductance roll-off, and the RMS current should not exceed the 580 mA rating to keep core and winding temperatures within the ferrite's limits. The 720 mOhm maximum DCR sets the copper loss floor: at 580 mA, I²R dissipation is about 242 mW. The self-resonant frequency of 40 MHz is well above typical switching frequencies for automotive DC-DC converters (400 kHz to 2.2 MHz), so the inductor behaves as a pure inductive element in that band.
Active production, AEC-Q200 traceability
For a BOM that requires PPAP-level traceability, the AEC-Q200 rating is the compliance anchor — the distributor can provide the qualification report and lot trace data at RFQ.
