Active lifecycle and parametric anchor
The Murata LQH2MCN120M52L is an active-production drum core wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, so it is currently available for new designs and replacements without an end-of-life window. Rated 12 µH ±20% at 1 MHz test frequency with a self-resonant frequency of 30 MHz — the inductance holds flat well into the tens of MHz before the parasitic capacitance dominates the impedance. The 170 mA current rating is the DC bias current at which the inductance drops by a defined amount; above this the core begins to saturate and the effective inductance falls off.
DC resistance and power loss budget
Unshielded construction means the fringe field extends beyond the package — keep sensitive traces or adjacent magnetics at least one body width away to avoid coupling.
