470 nH shielded power inductor for automotive and industrial DC-DC
The Murata LQH2HPZR47MDRL is a 470 nH shielded wirewound inductor from the LQH2 series, qualified to AEC-Q200 for automotive-grade reliability. Its 1.25 A continuous current rating and 168 mOhm max DCR make it a fit for the output filter of a switching regulator feeding a camera module or sensor node where the 470 nH value sets the ripple current at the switching frequency.
Current handling and saturation headroom
The saturation current (Isat) is specified at 1.67 A, meaning the inductance drops by no more than 10% at that peak current. For a DC-DC converter delivering 1.25 A continuous, the inductor operates below the saturation knee with margin for transient load steps. The self-resonant frequency is 120 MHz, well above the typical 1–4 MHz switching frequency of a small POL regulator, so the parasitic capacitance of the winding does not couple into the output at the fundamental switching harmonic.
AEC-Q200 qualification means this inductor has passed the stress tests defined by the Automotive Electronics Council: thermal shock, moisture resistance, mechanical shock and vibration, and solderability.
Package and board integration
The ferrite core and shielded construction reduce radiated EMI coupling into nearby traces.
