Product details

10 µH shielded inductor for automotive power rails

The Murata LQH2HPZ100MJRL is a 10 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, built for DC-DC converter input/output filtering and EMI suppression in automotive modules.

AEC-Q200 qualification and deployment envelope

Shielded construction (ferrite core plus magnetic-resin coating) contains the flux within the package, so the inductor can sit next to a sensitive ADC reference or a crystal oscillator without injecting noise into the signal path. The self-resonant frequency of 30 MHz is well above the switching frequency of a 2 MHz buck converter, keeping the inductor in the inductive region across the operating band.

Saturation current and derating

The saturation current (Isat) is specified at 830 mA, identical to the rated current — this inductor is designed so that the inductance drop at the rated current stays within the tolerance band. In practice, a 10 µH inductor with 830 mA Isat means the inductance holds within ±20% up to that current; above it the ferrite core begins to saturate and the inductance rolls off. For a 500 mA nominal load with a 30% ripple current (650 mA peak), the part stays well within the linear region.
