1.5 µH shielded power inductor for DC-DC rails
The Murata LQH2HPN1R5MDRL is a shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, delivering 1.5 µH ±20% with a 900 mA continuous current rating and a saturation current floor of 1.12 A. The 348 mOhm max DCR sets the I²R conduction loss — at 900 mA the copper loss is roughly 280 mW, which the 1008 (2520 Metric) package dissipates into the board copper without forced airflow.
Saturation headroom and frequency ceiling
The 1.12 A saturation current gives 24 % headroom above the 900 mA rated current — the inductance holds flat across the operating range and only rolls off above the peak transient the rail demands. A 60 MHz self-resonant frequency means the inductor behaves as an inductor well into the HF switching band — suitable for buck converters switching at 2–4 MHz where the SRF sits a decade above the fundamental. The ferrite core and full shield contain the flux within the 1008 footprint, reducing radiated coupling into adjacent traces — relevant when the inductor sits next to a sensitive analog or RF section on the same board.
