What the ratings mean for your DC-DC rail
The Murata LQH2HPN1R2NJRL is a 1.2 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, built for surface-mount power filtering in compact 1008 (2520 Metric) footprint. Rated 1.24 A continuous with a saturation current (Isat) of 2.45 A, this part gives you 2× headroom before the inductance collapses — useful when your switcher sees transient peaks above the average load. Maximum DC resistance is 66 mOhm. Self-resonant frequency hits 100 MHz, so it stays inductive well above the switching frequency of most buck converters in this current class.
Shielding and board-fit details
The drum core construction is fully shielded, which means the magnetic field is contained within the ferrite shell — adjacent traces or another inductor on the same rail won't couple noise. The ±30% tolerance on the 1.2 µH value is typical for power-grade ferrite inductors; the DC bias characteristic will shift the effective inductance more than the tolerance band.
