1 µH shielded power inductor for DC-DC filtering
The Murata LQH2HPN1R0MDRL is a 1 µH shielded wirewound inductor in the LQH2 series, built for DC-DC converter output filtering and power rail smoothing in space-constrained designs. Rated for 960 mA continuous DC current with a saturation current floor of 1.37 A — the inductor holds its inductance up to that peak before the ferrite core saturates and the value drops off. Maximum DC resistance is 288 mOhm, which sets the I²R conduction loss at full rated current to about 265 mW — a figure to budget into the thermal analysis for the 1008 footprint.
Self-resonant frequency and operating band
The self-resonant frequency is 100 MHz — above this point the inductor's parasitic capacitance dominates and the component behaves as a capacitor. For typical buck converters switching at 1–4 MHz, the 1 µH value stays well within the inductive region. Shielded construction with a ferrite core reduces stray magnetic field coupling to adjacent traces and components — useful when the inductor sits near sensitive analog or RF circuitry on the same board.
1008 footprint and temperature range
Rated for operation from -40°C to 105°C, covering industrial and automotive under-hood ambient conditions where the inductor may see elevated board temperatures near the power stage.
