820 nH shielded inductor for automotive power and signal lines
The Murata LQH2HNHR82K03L is a shielded wirewound inductor from the LQH2 series, delivering 820 nH ±10% with a continuous current rating of 550 mA and a DC resistance of 90 mOhm — a combination that suits DC-DC converter input/output filtering and EMI suppression in automotive modules where board space is tight.
Self-resonant frequency and DCR govern the filter corner
The 180 MHz self-resonant frequency (SRF) sets the upper useful band — above SRF the inductor behaves capacitively, so for a buck-converter switching at 2 MHz or a CAN bus common-mode choke application, the 820 nH value stays well below the SRF and the component acts as a pure inductor. A 90 mOhm DCR at 550 mA produces a 50 mV IR drop and about 27 mW of self-heating — negligible in a 1008 package with ferrite core, but worth including in the loss budget for a high-efficiency POL converter. The shielded ferrite core contains the magnetic flux, reducing crosstalk to adjacent traces and components — important when the inductor sits near a sensitive analog front-end or a wireless transceiver in a dense PCB layout.
Active and ready for your BOM
Supplied in tape-and-reel packaging (Cut Tape also available), the 1008 (2520 Metric) footprint is compatible with standard pick-and-place assembly and common reflow profiles.
