82 µH shielded inductor for automotive and industrial DC-DC
The LQH2HNH820J03L is a drum-core wirewound inductor from Murata's LQH2 series, shielded construction in a 1008 (2520 Metric) surface-mount package. Rated 82 µH ±5% tolerance, it carries 55 mA DC and presents a 7.8 Ω DCR — the DCR figure sets the I²R loss at full rated current to about 23 mW, negligible for most low-power rails but worth budgeting in a tight thermal design. AEC-Q200 qualification means this inductor passed the automotive-grade stress tests: vibration, thermal shock, solder heat resistance, and humidity bias.
The ferrite core and shielded winding keep stray flux from coupling into adjacent traces — critical when this inductor sits near a sensitive analog front-end or a clock line on a dense automotive ECU board. Self-resonant frequency is 11 MHz, tested at 1 MHz. For a buck converter switching at 2 MHz, the inductor's impedance stays inductive well above the switching harmonic content; the SRF ceiling means it should not be used in a 10 MHz+ resonant tank.
