1.5 µH shielded power inductor for DC-DC converter rails
The Murata DFE252010P-1R5M=P2 is a shielded wirewound power inductor in the DFE252010P series, built with a flat-wire winding on an iron powder core. Rated at 2.1 A with a saturation current of 3 A, the part handles the ripple current of a buck converter output stage without saturating the core under transient loads. Maximum DC resistance is 82 mOhm, which sets the I²R conduction loss — at 2.1 A the resistive dissipation is roughly 0.36 W, a figure that drives the temperature rise inside the 2520 package.
The shielded construction contains the magnetic field, so adjacent traces and components see less EMI coupling — useful when the inductor sits close to a sensitive analog or RF section.
