Active production — what the ratings mean for a BOM line
The Murata DFE201610P-R47M=P2 is an active-production shielded drum-core wirewound inductor in the DFE201610P series, rated 470 nH ±20% with a continuous current rating of 4 A. The 40 mOhm max DCR at 4 A means the I²R conduction loss stays under 0.64 W — the part's self-heating is low enough that the 125°C temperature ceiling is driven by the ambient, not the copper loss. Shielded construction with an iron-powder core keeps the flux contained — adjacent traces on a dense 0806 board won't couple noise into the inductor, and the core material saturates softly, so the inductance roll-off above 4 A is gradual rather than abrupt.

The 0806 (2016 Metric) footprint with a 1.00 mm seated height fits tight power-stage layouts — the low profile keeps it under a 1.2 mm clearance on a two-layer board.
